Every set of buttons may be disabled via the Options menu if you only plan to use a few of them.

You'll encounter a ton of quests in the Guild Wars 2 Story Journal, which is found under your (H)ero panel. Completing all of this is required to access much of the content the game has to offer, and can take weeks or months for the casual gamer.

Getting around the massive game world can be extremely slow, even after you have access to all of the mounts.

Scotty allows you to configure a modifier key, such as CTRL, and then holding that modifier key and clicking will teleport your player to the mouse cursor location.

Auto-run is unaffected, so you can easily keep up if you're following a Commander. You may also teleport while riding your mount.

This feature is accessed via the Options menu, and has a number of other configurable options for power users.

• On-mesh Only - This will prevent teleporting to locations that are off the mesh.
• Downed check - This will prevent teleporting while your player is in a downed state
• Teleport on Key-Up - This will teleport to the mouse cursor when you release the modifier key, rather than when you click
• Timer - Primarily for PvP, this prevents teleporting more often than a desired number of seconds. Other players won't know if you have a legitimate teleport skill or not.
• Range - Also for PvP, this prevents teleporting further than a set distance. It's designed to prevent other players from noticing you're using a hack rather than a legit teleport skill.

Note that when your cursor has a green circle, teleporting to that location is OK. If your cursor has a red circle, teleporting to that location won't work. (e.g. Too far away, or into the sky.)

Instructions:

• Unzip the .bttask files to the following folder. C:\MINIONAPP\Bots\GW2Minion64\LuaMods\GW2Minion\TaskManagerProfiles
• Restart the game client or Reload Lua from the MMOMinion menu.
• From the Main Menu, choose Custom Tasks and then select the Map Completion profile.

• Click the Play button to start the profile.
• Once the Map Completion Custom Task is running, Open the Custom Tasks section of Scotty.

• Click the “Toggle Semi-automatic” button and you'll hear an Enabled sound, at which point Scotty will teleport you to the next custom task location at the interval specified. (default 10 seconds)
• Tick the box for Player Detection and configure a radius if you don't want Scotty to teleport you automatically while other players are nearby.
• If the bot gets stuck on any given task, simply choose the next task from the Selected Task box in the Main Menu. (not all of the Custom Tasks are perfect)
• When the 1-40 Map Completion has finished, repeat these steps with the 40-80 Map Completion profile.

NOTE: I highly recommend using 10 seconds or more to prevent detection during map completion tasks. You can teleport as often and rapidly as you like outside of doing map completion or unlocking Vista/POI/WP's.

Either use the Personal Waypoint menu's Teleport button to teleport near your Personal Waypoint, or use the Automatic option to have Scotty teleport you there automatically when you use ALT + Left Click.

How do I create keyboard shortcuts?

You may create shortcuts (hotkeys) to move through the list quickly.

Scotty supports two options for storing your coordinate .TXT files.

1. Place them directly in the \Scotty folder.
2. Create a \Scotty\Coords file to organize your .TXT files into sub-folders. (example below)

NOTES:

• Make sure Minion is installed somewhere other than your \Program Files\ folder, which has special permissions.
• Make sure you are on the correct map for the file you're loading, otherwise your teleport location may be under the ground or in the sky.
• Please reload LUA (CTRL+L) after modifying the folder or file structure.

Create your own coordinate text files with easy-to-use recording tools.

Recorder Instructions

1. Enable “Show File Recording Tools” in the Options menu. (This is OFF by default to save space.)
2. Under the Search drop-down menu, type in your search text. (e.g. “touched cache”)
3. Check the “Recording” box. You should see the number next to it increment for each search result found.
4. Leave the “Recording” box checked as you scout the zone. It will automatically record anything new that it finds.
5. Uncheck the “Recording” box when you've found everything.
6. Type a name into the file name box and click Save. It will automatically append .TXT to the file name.
7. Verify your file is able to be loaded from the Load Coordinate File menu.

How to Manually Add Things

• Option 1) Target something. Give it a name and click the “Target Add” button. Verify the number of items recorded increments by 1.
• Option 2) Stand somewhere. Give the location a name and click the “Player Add” button. Verify the number of items recorded increments by 1.
• Option 3) Open the .TXT file in Notepad. Type a name and the x,y,z coordinates separated by commas.

Add Temporary Locations to teleport back and forth from at any time.

This is extremely powerful in WvW for building Siege or repairing gates/walls as you teleport back and forth from your supply.

Q) How can I save Temporary Locations?

A timer helps you remember the last time you clicked a button to teleport to a potentially undiscovered location.

Your character will automatically sync after teleport, making anything you teleported to available for use.

If the bot is running, the navigation path will be automatically cleared and recalculated after teleport. It'll keep grinding or doing whatever it was before without a hitch!

• Teleport to any undiscovered Vista.
• Teleport to any undiscovered Point of Interest. (POI)
• Teleport to Heart Quests.
• Teleport to Events.
• Teleport to Hero Points or Mastery Insights.
• Teleport to any gatherable node within ~5000 range and automatically gather them.
• Teleport to Commanders. (Never get left behind again!)

Disclaimer

• You assume all risk associated with the use of this addon.
• A secret algorithm is used by ArenaNet to automatically suspend players for discovering POI's, Vistas and Waypoints too quickly. I provide you with a teleport timer, and expect you to use some personal restraint. With that said, I do NOT prevent you from teleporting as fast as you want.
• I've received NO REPORTS of players being suspended from normal use of this addon, even when used excessively, since it was released in August 2018. I will do my best to keep the community informed of any changes. In the meantime, please adhere to the recommendations and do not unlock maps too quickly or teleport-gather for extended periods on US/EU servers.

• When doing MAP COMPLETION, I do not recommend teleporting faster than once every 10 seconds. Map completion counts as anything that would advance the map completion in the upper left-hand corner of the (M)ap screen towards 100%. I personally use 3 seconds on my test accounts, and suggest 10+ to keep YOU safe.
• Do not complete achievements too quickly when loading a coordinate text file that explicitly says “DO NOT COMPLETE TOO FAST” in the file name. These often have public leaderboards and you don't want to get caught completing a race in an impossibly small amount of time.
• I do NOT recommend teleport-gathering on US/EU servers, but the option is there due to popular demand. If you insist on doing this, I suggest stopping after an hour or two max. Gathering too many crafting materials is the single riskiest thing you can do, whether or not you're teleporting. (Note that LS3/LS4 materials do not seem to be tracked. e.g. Winterberries)
• If you're going to teleport around, I highly suggest playing a short Asura and wearing an inconspicuous wardrobe. Don't call unnecessary attention to yourself by playing the largest Charr character wearing neon sign armor. Unequip everything that leaves a trail behind you or has particle effects, such as legendary weapons.
• Remember to leave your party and remove your Commander, Mentor or Guild tags before teleporting around. These things can result in other players noticing your “dot” teleporting around the map.
• Outside of the aforementioned caveats, teleport as fast and often as you want. Remember that players pop in and out of the game world all the time for various reasons, so you can always make an excuse in the very unlikely chance someone calls you out. Examples: “My previous map instance had too few people and I was forced to join this one. I just got back from PvP/WvW. I just reconnected. I used a Teleport to Friend device. I just completed my Personal Story instance. I'm lagged and rubber-banding. You must be lagged. etc…)
