Optifine is a performance enhancement addon, it's main purpose is to add multi-threading to Minion, whereas normally it's entirely single threaded. Due to the nature of how this works, the process can be very volatile and will not work without following specific instructions.

====== Dalamud Compatability ======
Dalamud from XIVLauncher is mostly compatible with Optifine but certain plugins may cause issues. To avoid crashes, it's recommended you avoid any Dalamud plugins that have not been appropriately tested. Just because something isn't on this list does not mean it's working, it means proceed with absolute caution and if you run into issues, you remove it before you even ask.

====== XIVAlexander Compatability ======
XIVAlexander's newest version will not work with Optifine, but you can use an older version before the auto-injection was added. Check the [[installation]] page under "Unknown Eror (Query/Fail)" for instructions on how to setup an older version of XIVAlexander that is compatible with Minion. Keep in mind though, Rikudou's ACRs do not support XIVAlexander since the ACRs have their own version of ping minimization coded into them.
